january strada 31- day challenge

This is my third year participating in the January STRADA 31 – Day Challenge!  Strada Easel is a prestigious art company that I have been aware of for many years.  For the past three years I have signed up for this daily painting/drawing challenge to encourage me to create in the coming year.  I am proud to say that both years I completed the challenge and have benefited from participating in the January STRADA 31-Day Challenge.

Here are a few sample from my first two years of the STRADA Easel Challenges. Please keep in mind that I do not spend my entire day working on these little masterpieces–this is a me taking an hour out of my day to paint and draw to build up my stock and to get me creating daily!  My business has increased in sells and I hope this year will be even better.  It’s like eating your greens and black-eyed peas for good luck, but it’s like good luck for artists to do these NEW YEAR Challenges.  After the challenge is over I will have time to go back and refine my work.  Trying to get a drawing or painting a day is absolutely insane for someone like me.

On Day 1, I painted a bulldog puppy in a monochromatic color scheme.  Then on Day 2, I drew our Labrador, Bella.  Most people don’t realize I spent more time drawing than I did painting.  If I am able to post daily of my creations I will go into a drawing at the end of the Challenge to win a STRADA Easel!  It always helps to have something to work towards…like a prize.

Even if I am not selected to win the STRADA Easel I will have a bulk of work to show or sell.  I will try to stay within my “Dog” theme so that my work is cohesive.  Please feel free to leave images of your fur babies for me to draw!
