I have to admit, as “crunchy” as I come across, I have never given much thought to how the beach toys that my girls were playing with were made out of.
How thoughtful, and how eco-friendly for Zoe B Organic to go the extra mile in researching a way to make very durable, useable, kid friendly beach toys made out of corn instead of petroleum! This makes them completely biodegradable. If these toys are washed out to sea, the completely break down in 2-3 years!
I was surprised at how sturdy the toys were. The girls are pretty hard on beach toys, and being 5 minutes from the Lake Michigan shoreline, we are at the beach a couple times a week every summer. We have gone through our share of buckets and shovels, but I have never had a set so well made. As tough as these beach toys are made, they are still the perfect size, shape, and weight for little hands –and great for hours of memorizing fun pouring, packing, scooping, and pretending in the sand!
