Cheese. Wine. Chocolate. You can make a very satisfying meal out of these three things. The best way to meld them all together during the cool fall days and cold winter nights being fondue. Yep. Melted cheese, melted chocolate… my mouth is watering.
As much as I enjoy a tasty fondue I have never attempted to make my own until I had the Cheese Fondue for Two set from Gourmet du Village. This isn’t the first fondue set I’ve owned, but it is the first that inspired me to actually make a fondue. The Cheese Fondue for Two set came with two seasoning packets and instructions and these two things convinced me that making fondue the Gourmet du Village would be simple.
I was right! All I had to do was add some wine, shredded cheese, and some bread and sliced apples to the mix and I had the most lovely lunch! It was delicious and so easy that I know I’ll be making fondue using Gourmet du Village seasonings whenever the mood strikes me.
The Cheese Fondue for Two set comes with two fondue forks, a fondue bowl, platter, as well as one box each of the Roasted Garlic and Sundried Tomato Dip Mixes. The recipe for each fondue for two calls for just a single teaspoon of the mix, so each boxed dip mix can easily make 3 or 4 fondues. I’m excited to try the Sundried Tomato Dip Mix for a fondue next week after I replenish my cheese supply.
