Remember at the beginning of January when I introduced you to the Girl of the Year from American Girl? Oh what a FUN day that is every year. Such wonderment, excitement and anticipation as we await the big new from American Girl! Well, today I’m not only sharing a little more, but I get to giveaway one of these beautiful dolls to one of YOU!
In case you missed the first post, Lea Clark’s story is fun. She’s a spirited 10-year old with a passion for photography and exploration!
Meet Lea, the 2016 Girl of the Year™! She dives in to new adventures and explores what’s in her heart. The 18″ Lea doll has warm hazel eyes that open and close, and long, light-brown wavy hair with sun-kissed highlights. She has a huggable cloth body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl. She comes with the Lea Dives In paperback book, plus her Brazilian festival outfit.
My daughters had a chance to look take a peek at Lea Clark, personally and put together a video showing off a lot of her qualities.
In addition, I wanted to share with you a little about the books offered in conjunction with Lea Clark this year. Three that I’ve found! All talking about exploration, figuring things out, being problem solvers and adventurers. I LOVE that premise behind this year’s girl!

I’ve heard that her grandmother spoke Portuguese. My grandmother was of Portuguese descent. She came to the US in 1924 and spoke the language, too. That’s what I’d like to learn more about…Lea’s family background.
