what to wear on a winter date night :: help from vionic at sole provisions + swirling honey boutique (20% off coupon!)

Last weekend my husband turned 39…so, naturally, we celebrated with some of our closest friends and went out to dinner. Leading up to the dinner reservation though was prep time with what I’d wear. I wanted to look classy and a bit dressy since we were going to a nice restaurant downtown. All that in mind, I was stumped as the weather was changing by the minute…

I had received some adorable grey booties I was totally itching to wear, and that was going to be their debut night. I must say, looking back now, they were the perfect choice. The outfit selection started with the grey, Vionic Becca booties. Perfection with every step, seriously. I wore them yet again today! Not only are they super adorable, they are SUPER comfortable! We sure put them to the test too that night. From one end of the town to the other. It was a fun night!

The heel is just enough too, about 2″. I love that height. The material is a soft suede. These don’t only come in grey, they are also offered in navy, light tan and black. Since I’m #allthingsgrey right now, I knew I had to have these as they would go with a majority of my fall and winter closet.

What do I like most about them outside of the comfort level for all day activities? The laces. So fun and again, classic. I can see these being in style for years!

In regards to the rest of the outfit, I picked out my “fancy jeans” from Flying Monkey. They are a dark wash, super soft, stretchy and classy. As you have probably read before, my go-to jeans that I get at Gina’s Boutique. Isn’t it crazy how we are able to dress up jeans now? I personally love it!

I added this fun, and minorly edgy, cold shoulder tunic from Swirling Honey Boutique. When I saw this online, I was SO incredibly intrigued by it. My husband and I have enough events where I thought I could definintely use something like this. Plus, the open shoulder is SO in right now. This is one of the first tops I’ve seen where I could wear a regular bra. Bonus points for that for SURE! **I’ll be sharing more on this sweet boutique in tomorrow’s post — stay tuned!**
