up-cycle your memories with the patchwork bear :: review and discount

This Fall, after we moved to our new house, I went through every single box that we had been stacked in our storage room in our old house. High school, college, post-college, baby moments. All of it. And there was a lot!

So, what does one do with all that stuff?

Among the boxes of memories was a box of old college t-shirts. I wasn’t saving these t-shirts to necessarily wear again because they weren’t really “wearable” shirts. But I also didn’t want to toss them away because they were ones that had memories attached to them.

Seriously! What do you guys do with stuff like this? I’ll tell you what you do….you send them to The Patchwork Bear!

To be fair, The Patchwork Bear is so much more than bears, but let’s start with the bears! The Patchwork Bears are these adorable bears created from your old shirts, uniforms, baby bibs, baby blankets, etc. An amazing way to preserve those old memories!

Now, remember, I did say The Patchwork Bear was so much more than bears. The Patchwork Bear also creates Signature Patchwork Bears (perfect for baby gifts and can be personalized), Patchwork Blankets, Quilts, and Market Bags!

And your old wedding dress? They have amazing ways to re-purpose and preserve the wedding dress you don’t want to keep but don’t want to get rid of. Repurpose that dress into a quilt, christening gown, Patchwork Bear, or pillow.

I recently had one of my old college t-shirts made into a Patchwork Bear and I absolutely love it! They did such a great job of repurposing that t-shirt and creating this lovely little bear. And with a quality that I know will mean that bear will be around for a while, even with all the “loving” my kids are giving it.

The best part was that working with The Patchwork Bear was so easy! I just selected which product I wanted and shipped my old t-shirt off to them. Done!

So, if you’re looking for a unique gift for your “little one” is graduating from college, graduating from high school or just graduating from onesie wearing baby to t-shirt wearing toddler, any of The Patchwork Bear products would make fabulous gifts this Christmas! Or, create a bear or blanket for yourself out of your child’s old shirts and curl-up with it and shed some tears next Fall when they head off to preschool/college/the real world. But don’t wait until last minute to do this because the bears do take 2-4 weeks and the quilts take 6-8 weeks to create.
