Welcome to the Mickey Mouse “Clayhouse”!

You heard me right! The Clubhouse has been transformed into the “Clayhouse”…in the newest app from Disney Publishing — Squish!

Squish: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse allows kids to put their creativity to the test as they manipulate digital pieces of 3D clay in the app. Select from a 3D model of Mickey or Minnie or a general shape and then use the tools to carve, stretch and pull the clay into new creations.

Then add some other “clay” pieces to decorate your creation. Spin it around and you’ll see it all in 3D!

Once you’ve got your clay creation just the way you want it, then then fun really begins! Send your creation to the Unique Squishers (the “Twisterator”, the “Melter”, or the “Inflator”) and watch as your clay creation contorts, expands or melts away. But don’t worry…the affects at the Unique Squishers are only temporary! Your clay creation will come back just as it was so you can do more squishing!

Once you’ve stretched, pulled and squished your clay Mickey as much as you like, take a snapshot of it in the app and save it to the Gallery to show-off later!

The app says it’s designed for ages 5 and under but, honestly, I would say it’s perfect for ages 3 and up! No upper age limit! All three of my kids have a riot playing the Squish app and seeing who can create the funniest Mickey or Minnie clay creations. Even my husband and I like playing with it. There’s just something therapeutic about playing with clay!

And not having to worry about cleaning up the mess of real clay all the time…well that just makes this mom even that much more happy!

You can find the new Squish: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse app in the iTunes App Store for the iPad or iPhone.

This looks like a really neat app! I really love the idea of it being animated “clay”; very creative! Thanks for reviewing this app! : )
