causeboxlogoThis holiday season, I’m encouraging you to step outside the shopping mall and find a few companies that are doing their part to change the world for the better.  One simple way to do that is to take a look at Causebox.  Causebox is a seasonal subscription box filled with an assortment of goodies from socially conscious companies.  The companies selected to be a part of Causebox are dedicated to providing jobs, meals, clean water and education to people all over the world.  And while I’ll get to it more later, Causebox is also completely mindful of your budget, too!

I’m sharing some pictures and a brief description of what was in the autumn box this year, but Causebox showcases the items beautifully on their blog which I highly suggest you check out.  I’m swooning over a few things in past boxes and can’t wait to see what’s coming up for winter!  The fall Causebox was full of goodies from all over!  Thank you cards from Gramr Gratitude Company (which inspired me to get a few long overdue thank you cards written and sent).  A lucky iron fish which is a huge source of supplemental iron without pills (not only can this help your iron deficiency, which is common in most women, but every fish purchased donates a fish to families in desperate need abroad).  A small Urbana Sac storage container which is super adorable filled with mandarin oranges on my counter.  A simple “Balance”  necklace by Dogeared.  An upcycled Liz Alig apron made by women in Ghana and Haiti (possibly my favorite item in the box).  A small pack of Hobbs Tea (organic, single origin).  A seasonal print by Janessa Wait (this one reminds me to find the good in myself, my kids and the world–it’s already up on my mantle).  Also in the Causebox is Good News, a small catalog of items and their backstories. I loved reading about how these companies are changing lives.

In this box are almost $200 in products for $49! So not only are you helping in so many ways, you’re also saving some money while you discover some new favorite brands. I was seriously blown away by both the value and quality.  And not only are you helping the companies featured in Causebox by discovering and buying new brands, but Causebox is dedicated to giving back.  They have donated over 20,00 meals and supported artisan groups all over the world.  If you want to help support this amazing company as well as a host of other socially conscious companies, run over to Causebox!  This fall box is going to be out of stock soon!  And, for an added bonus, enter the code thesimplemoms for $10 off!  An even better deal than before!
