Most of you know me as quite a stickler on ingredient labels. So you know if I am doing a review on a food product, I am 100% ok with that little label on the back!

We were sent some of each of the meat stick flavors to try. We made it a lunch affair with the meat sticks, raw cheese, and some veggies with sour cream. I wasn’t sure if my 2 year old (will be 3 in April) would be able to chew a meat stick – but she did fantastic. They aren’t “chewy” or too hard – the texture is really just right. Both of my big girls just loved the grassfed beef stick and free range turkey sticks.
My husband and I enjoyed the flavor of the regular flavor too, and we also tried the “spicey” beef and turkey sticks. My husband *loves* spicy food – the hotter the better. The best part about the spicy sticks was that it was spicy enough to make him happy, but it wasn’t so much that it was too hot for me. I like that you can actually taste the jalapeno – it gives you some heat on the finish but that sweet pepper flavor of the jalapeno comes through and gives such a great flavor.
Nick’s story is so cool – he is a cancer survivor turned farmer, as he is one of the founders of Wallace Farms in Iowa. They raise 100% grassfed cows, and make these simple meat stick snacks with real ingredients.
These would be great to have on hand for last minute, out the door type meals. Great school lunch box add ins. Perfect grab and go snacks. And you can feel good about giving them to your family – that is a winner in my book every time.
