Learning to count is something that is talked about daily in our home lately. Adalynn, who will turn 4 in less than two weeks is very in to learning right now. I am thrilled with this as it’s something totally fun her and I can do together. I think it’s even more fun when we find a great tool to mix things up.
I was recently introduced to David Carter’s 100: Lift the Flaps and Learn to Count! (Sterling Children’s Books, February 2013), and was thrilled to see the book was as fun as I thought it might be. Adalynn and I have sat down for quite some time lifting all the flaps, counting and just plain having fun with this book.
To be honest, I have never seen a book with more flaps. But that leads to lots of time together lifting and investigating. While this isn’t for little hands, as many flap books aren’t, if you can keep it from the younger ones, this book will last quite some time! It’s fun, fun, fun!!
