I’m ten and a half years into this parenting thing and, I have to tell you, of all the hundreds of toys that have made their way into (and out of) our house, there aren’t too many that really stand the test of time. Anytime someone asks me my favorite toy, I always say magnetic tiles like these from the award winning Magnetic Stick N Stack.
We’ve had magnetic tiles for a long time and keep adding to our collection. They are one of the all-time favorite toys of my kids and the kids who come over to play. I love that they are tactile, lend themselves to creativity and let the kids work together or own their own. They don’t take a lot of space to store, but they are able to fit together to make large structures. We have made everything from garages for toy cars to skyscrapers and princess castles to our names spelled in tile letters.
For my son’s fourth birthday, we added onto our set even more with this accessories set from Magnetic Stick N Stack. So now we can make even more! We now have windows, arches, car bases and even little people. As soon as he opened the gift, all three of my kids we’re excited to dig in. And since it needs no batteries or assembly (huge bonus, right??) , they could! Within minutes they were on their way to making cars, complete with drivers, some with sunroofs, some two-story, some hooked together with hitches. They made tunnels to drive the cars through and garages and even parking ramps. I love when a toy can help my kids work together to make something and facilitate play between all of my kids.
When I started comparing the three main brands of magnetic tiles out there, the only difference I could see was price. Since our first set was a gift, I didn’t do much price comparison. But when I went to buy more I was shocked at the difference!
