IMG_4709Everybody wanted to help me with this review. We tried out the red velvet cupcakes and they are very tasty. Actually, I can’t leave them alone.

With the holiday weekend descending upon us, I wanted to share a fun idea. Heading to any 4th of July gatherings? If you are like me, you don’t want to spend a lot of time fussing in the kitchen on a hot summer day. Um, it’s supposed to be 108 degrees where I live. 108!!! Don’t bake with a hot oven, just dress up a Mrs. Freshley’s red velvet cupcake with an American flag. It’s so easy, even a 2 year old can do it. Actually, you should let your kids help you with this one. All 3 of mine had a fun time helping me make our flag cupcakes. They had even more fun eating their masterpieces for dessert after their dinner.

You had me at “no bake”!! It is so blasted hot here that I have been planning all of our meals around the grill. Not to mention making sure to run the dishwasher when we are out, etc. But my husband’s sweet tooth has not been affected by the head so this is great. Thanks for the heads up.

yum! I don’t blame you for not wanting to put the oven on in that heat! But I love Red Velvet cupcakes too and this is a fun, easy way to celebrate the 4th without turning on the oven.
