Have you started thinking about your Christmas cards yet? Half the battle for me is having a good family photo to use on our Christmas card. It’s a busy time of year and I’m always looking for ways to make the holidays easier. Last year my talented friend took our family photos in October. This year I’m not so on the ball.

What if I told you there is an option to meet a photographer for a 30 minute photo session at the location of your choice, plus you get multiple card options designed by a pro, and you get to download all the photos from your session? It’s true and it’s only $100!

Minted has outdone themselves on this idea. It’s only available in major cities like the Bay Area, LA, and NY for now. I was lucky enough to take advantage of this opportunity. If you have tried to book a family photo session with a talented and established photographer, you know that it’s not cheap. I thought the $100 rate for a Minted photo-op was reasonable and they take great care in selecting their photographers. You get so much more then a photo session too!

  • 30 minute photo session with an independent portrait photographer at the location of your choice*
  • 10 retouched photos (plus view and download your session photos in 2-3 business days)
  • complimentary holiday card styling

The entire process was so easy, painless, and fast. I began at the Minted Photo-Op page. I was able to answer a few questions about my style, photographs desired, location, etc. I also picked my top few favorite Christmas card options. After that, I scheduled our photo session and arranged the time and place to meet our Minted provided photographer. Communication was great. I received emails from Minted with helpful tips about what to wear, how to prepare, and what to bring. My favorite tip was to look at the cards that I picked as favorites. To achieve the same look, dress my family in the same colors.

I got a text from my assigned photographer a few days before our shoot. We met at a gorgeous ranch mid-afternoon. 30 minutes later we were done, we had fun, our photographer was amazing with kids, and we were on our way. We were very happy with Judy Holtz Photography and Minted – of course – for having such talented photographers.

2-3 business days later our photos and card options were ready! Check your Minted account if you are eager (like I was) because my photos and card options showed up before I got an email letting me know they were ready. It was a Christmas miracle to get our Christmas cards done so easily and the photos from our session (that I got to download and keep) are priceless to me.

Next week I will be reviewing our Minted Christmas card. It turned out wonderfully and quite effortlessly! Our photo session was November 18th and my cards were ready to order on the 22nd. Are you one of the lucky people that live in an area that the Minted photo-op is offered?* Give yourself a great holiday card experience. You still have time to take advantage of this offer. The turnaround time is fantastic. Any guesses which card I picked from my choices above? I didn’t have to chose a designed card, but I did!Book a Session
