lenzfrenz_small_weblogo3_1409250128__03090This morning I spent way too much time looking for my daughter’s glasses. She wore them to bed and somehow they ended up under her bed. While I’m thankful I didn’t step on them, I could have spent my already rushed Sunday morning doing something other than stripping her bed and searching her piles of stuffed animals looking for her favorite pair of glasses.  I was planning on waiting until Christmas to give her a Lenz Frenz, but I think having one now might solve this issue for us.

002When Liam Lofthouse was involved in an incident with a bully that severely damaged one of his eyes, he learned that he would likely wear glasses for the rest of his life. His mom, Molly, designed Lenz Frenz to provide a fun way to encourage him to accept his glasses and to introduce a “friend” during hard time. But, additionally, it is a cute, cuddly animal that encourages children to be responsible with their eyeware by teaching them to put their glasses or contacts away in a safe, fun way.

Both of my older children were worried when they learned they would need glasses. They thought their friends might laugh at them, that they would lose or break the glasses or that they would be uncomfortable. My kids quickly learned to love their glasses—they get more compliments on their glasses than any other accessory. And they can see so much better! But I do think a special gift of a Lenz Frenz would have helped ease them into their new world with glasses. What child doesn’t love a new cuddly friend?

007Lenz Frenz is a plush animal with a rear case to hold glasses. The large-sized Lenz Frenz® also have earpiece holders on the animals head so the animal can “wear” the glasses, too. I love that the Lenz Frenz can hold two pair of glasses. I knew the unicorn Lenz Frenz was perfect for my unicorn-loving daughter. There is also a Li’l Lenz Frenz for contact lens wearers. My son is only six, but we are seriously discussing switching to contacts in an attempt to slow down his progressive myopia. So we ordered the monkey Li’l Lenz Frenz for him to store his contacts.  And the Li’l Lenz Frenz can easily hook onto backpacks making it an easy way to transport contacts to school or trip to Grandma’s house.

Lenz Frenz and L’il Lenz Frenz are available in 6 adorable character designs and would be a great way to help your child get excited about wearing glasses!  They would also make a great gift for any child who wears glasses.

This is fantastic! My youngest just found out she needs glasses and this is the perfect holiday gift ! She has been a little down about it, but I’m sure this will boost her confidence. Great posting and review, I never would have found this product if not for your blog!
