This post is just in time for March Madness. I give my condolences to the Michigan State fans. I saw a lot of bracket burning on my Facebook feed this week. I don’t really follow basketball to be honest, just the hoops we’ve got going on in our boy’s room!
Do you have a child that leaves dirty clothes on the floor? Sometimes those clothes are just inches from the hamper. {GRRRRR} What is it gonna take to get the clothes IN the hamper? I have the answer!
Dirty Dunk
Slam dunking dirty clothes into a basketball hoop is far more exciting then simply dropping dirty undies in a hamper (or on the floor next to the hamper). While it might seem like more work to an adult, you gotta speak the language of kids. Our Dirty Dunk has been quite a hit and it’s a win for me as well…no more dirty clothes next to the hamper or on the floor.
We have found a few places to hang our Dirty Dunk. The obvious place is the door. It’s easy to take on and off so we put it on either the inside or outside of their bedroom door. Our 3 year old likes to try to dunk his clothes as well. If we put it on the bunk bed, it’s a good height for him. When we have company coming and we need it more out of the way, I put it on the end of their bunk bed with the hamper lined up underneath.
I was quite impressed with the quality of the Dirty Dunk. Of course kids are going to pull and hang on the rim a bit. It’s very sturdy. It is a great hoop for basketball as well. The boys will shoot hoops with a ball when the net isn’t full of clothes. Speaking of the net, it holds a good 2-3 loads of laundry- IMPRESSIVE!!
