karibu logoWe started potty training our 2 year old this week.  I am happy to report that we started on Sunday and she was fully potty trained by Tuesday.  YAY!!  While I know that she is her own person and will do what she can when she can, having the right tools to help your little one get excited is a total benefit and completely necessary…especially when it comes to potty training!

karibu step pottyI was first introduced to the Karibu line of products via their online presence.  I then saw them at ABC Kids and was in awe of a few of their other products too!

  • They have a tub that folds flat.  SO great for places that don’t have a lot of room.  You know, like apartments and small homes. Also, great for traveling!
  • While I don’t need this, they do have an adorable little urinal, to help the little boys potty train and go regularly outside of potty training.
  • The potty step we received…keep reading to hear my thoughts.  I love it!!

The potty step is what I’m going to be talking to you briefly about today! To be short and to the point, I just love the idea of it and the reality of it.  When I first opened the box, I wasn’t sure what to think.  I didn’t know if it would stay put, stay together or slide all over the place.  First off, it does NOT slide all over.  That is a major benefit as we have wood floors or linoleum in all our bathrooms.  We set it up, it sticks in place on the toilet and doesn’t slide on the floor.  Boom!

Second, the plastic is put together great.  There are handles for your little one to hold on to.  My Preslee sits down and holds these handle every time we are going to have a success on the potty.  Not only that, but the step that you see can be adjusted to three different heights to accommodate any sized child in need of a potty seat.

The potty step comes in green, blue, red and white too.  Options!  And each different color options comes with a different pattern on the cushioned seat. 🙂

There is a little splash guard that eliminates the urine that sometimes can come forward with little girls when sitting down.

The last point I wanted to make was the portability and storage capabilities.  This bad boy folds practically flat and can fit between our wall and toilet when not in use.  When we need it, it pops back in to place the second we need it.
