get longer hair with “nourish” hair nutrition vitamins :: review

disclaimer no giveaway

I want to preface this review by telling you that I’m not someone who buys into every “too good to be true” or “fad” that comes along (although I will admit that I got sucked into buying the TaeBo set back in the day… and never once used it). I am skeptical of the “miracle” cures and treatments on the market. However, I’m pretty comfortable with vitamins.I have been using Hair Energizer Hair Nutrition Vitamins since March, and they’ve definitely helped my hair. I am a terrible pill-taker (I just plain forget!), so I didn’t even take the pills every day and have still noticed a difference in my hair. My hair has never grown very fast (I’m lucky if I get the “average” of 6 inches in a year), but check it out, November vs. now:Hair Collage

In the November picture, I had just colored my hair for the wedding I was attending, so none of my dark roots were showing. Just before I took the “now” picture, 7 months later, my roots reached the top of my ears – I measured, and that’s 6 inches!!  You can see my roots in the “now” pic – I had ombre coloring done so that I can grow out my natural color but still have some pizzazz to my hair color – the darkest section at the top is my 6 inches of new growth since November. The middle is the color I had in November with some highlights, and then the bottom is all lightened.

One thing that I will suggest: the recommended amount is 2 pills per day – don’t take them both at once. They contain niacin, which has a common side affect of causing your face to become flushed. I took 2 pills, and within a few minutes started feeling hot. I looked in the mirror and my face was bright red. It only lasted about an hour, so It’s not a bad side effect, just not pretty 🙂  So I reduced it to 1 pill, and had absolutely no side effects. Coolness.
