I am going to be very honest and say that it has been YEARS since I regularly wore any fragrance. Not that I have been opposed to wearing one, but rather because I don’t have time to try out the overwhelming selection of scents out there and I don’t trust that I will love a fragrance just because some celebrity has stamped their name on it. Besides, as our recent email from Scent Trunk stated, “Seriously, who wants to smell like Rihanna?”

I was really excited to try the Scent Trunk experience to see what scents I would gravitate towards and to see what personalized scent they would create for me. The whole process is really easy and I was amazed at how quickly the Scent Trunk lab was able to take my reactions to their 6 basic scents and have my personalized scent returned to me!

The process started the day I received my Scent Test kit. Inside the little white box you will find some basic instructions and six small vials with roller balls that contain the basic scents you need to try. Simply apply each scent to a different area on your skin and wait for a short time to see how it reacts to your skin. Then you rate each scent for the Scent Trunk lab.

One scent I loved, some scents I hated, and a couple I was on the fence about. Taking this information Scent Lab created a personalized fragrance just for me and mailed me a one month supply of my original fragrance. Even better, if you don’t love the scent they send you they will send you something new for free!

Without a doubt Scent Trunk is on my list for gift ideas for the hard to buy for people in my life and I’m doubly excited to share their customized fragrance experience with all my fellow busy moms who may want to wear a great fragrance but just don’t have the time to wander the mall for hours on end trying the basic fragrances to be found there.

    This sounds so much fun! I like to go to the fragrance counter at Nordstroms and try new scents, but they don’t like it if you want to try a bunch. I’m always on the lookout for a fragrance I would truly adore.
