evenflo bottles, pacifiers, & my bottle feeding tips :: review

disclaimer no giveaway
Not every person can breastfeed and there are even some that just plain don’t want to do it. Whatever category you fall in, there is a good chance you are using bottles at some point in the first year of your baby’s life. I’d like to think of myself as biberón feeding expert. I’m on bottle fed baby #3 and I think I might have a bottle obsession. I like them to be functional, but cute is a bonus too.

I had the chance to try out the Evenflo Bebek Collection of bottles and pacifiers. I have learned that not one of our three kids has liked the same bottle. It also changes as they grow older. You want to find a bottle with a slower flowing nipple for when they are starting out. The faster they eat, the more they think they need to eat. It’s just like you and me. We need to slow down and enjoy our food. This collection is great because it has a bottle for all those changing phases of bottle feeding.

Evenflo 2 oz bottle

I really liked the 2 oz. bottle. We started with that for the first couple of weeks. It’s adorably small and just the right amount. I’m not a big fan of bottles with lots of parts either. Too much assembly time required, as well as time to take it apart to wash. These bottles are simple and easy to wash.

pacifierCharlie has not taken to a pacifier yet, BUT that doesn’t mean he won’t. My first liked his pacifier until he was 9 months old and then he spit it out one day and never took it again. My second didn’t take a pacifier until she was in the thick of teething at about 9 months old. Oh my, she kept that thing until her 3rd birthday. We had to mentally prepare her that 3 year olds don’t take a pacifier and we boxed them up. She was like an addict and had a few hidden here and there. 6 months later she still would come out with one and secretly suck on it. I like the size, look, and texture of the evenflo pacifier. We will have to wait and see if our Mr. Charlie is going to like it.

brothersWe are currently using the larger bottle. Our BIG 2 month old is up to 6 oz. per feeding. (He had his 2 month check up today and he’s 14 lbs! His BMI was perfect, so he’s just a big baby.) I really enjoy how this bottle fits so comfortably in my hand. Charlie takes his bottles at a good pace, burps well, and doesn’t have gas issues. That’s a good bottle in my book!

Here are a few more facts about the Evenflo Bebek Collection:
