enjoy a day at sea world + a few tips

We love traveling to Florida and do it about 2-3 times a year. Granted we have family that lives there so that makes it easier for us to up and go.  This time ventured out of our normal trip to Navarre for the first half of our trip and we went to Orlando. Now, my kids are 12, 9 and 3, and we have always taken our kids to Disney at the age of 3. Just a tradition we have done and I just love this age for these type of places. While we were in Florida, I thought it would be an amazing time if we could take a little time to go to Sea World too.

Low and behold, we were able to score some tickets and take the day and spend at Sea World. We are blessed for sure. Sea World was simply amazing. Dare I say, we had a little more fun then at Disney (that experience is coming soon to the blog) because it rained most of the time we were at Disney. Alas, Sea World was a totally different experience so you really can’t compare the two. Plus, there was a hurricane headed our way.

There is so much to see and do at Sea World.  It has so much more then I ever thought.  They have rides, animals and even a little section for the little kids. Now, I am not much of a planner when it comes to doing this like this because we like to just go and see and do what we can and be spontaneous.

One thing I made sure that we did do was see a show.  It was definitely one thing I didn’t want to miss while we were there. It was simply amazing and unbelievable. Even though the look on Charlee’s face says different.  She did have fun!

I definitely recommend getting in a show while you are visiting. It doesn’t last long and it so much fun to see what these animals can do. My two oldest sat down in front where the whales splash you. They loved it.

I can’t forget about our first stop, it was to Journey to Atlantis. I’ll admit I was scared so dad when on this one with Macy. Look for yourself. They loved it even though it was raining!

Now on to the place where we spent most of our time while at SeaWorld, Sesame Street Land. Even though, this is for the little ones, my 9 year old and 12 year old loved it too.  Even the adults are able to ride on some of the rides.

Our last stop was to Infinity Falls! It was really a fun ride for the kids. The line was long but it was totally worth it. They rode this one many times. While it was hot, we were able to cool off on the bridge as they went by with a high splash.

I just want to wrap it up with a few tips that helped us and will do next time we go. Now, in Florida it can rain at any time, so be prepared. Having a poncho for everyone is a must. I felt like it was raining for a few minutes every time we turned around. So grab a couple at the dollar store and keep them on you. Bringing a stroller was one of the must haves. It can carry all your items and help a tired toddler when they need to sit and you still want to move. It wasn’t hectic with it or a pain. It worked out really well. Bring one that has a shade on it for the blazing sun to protect the little one. Bring snacks and water to have through out the day, it saves on money and time. Bring a bathing suit. This was one thing we didn’t do and realized quickly that we should have.

One last thing, don’t lose your phone. And keep your tickets so you can get back in to get it. HA! I totally did this. I was thankful that someone found it and turned it in. The place is very large so walking all the way to get my phone was insane after a day full of fun.

There is so much more to see and do then what I have here, get out and explore!!

I have to add the kids shirts were also made by Paisley Bloom and were a huge hit. Everyone was asking about them.

What other tips do you have when you enjoy an amusement park?
