theswatchboxlogoHave you ever felt like you could use a little help styling your home?  As a busy mom of three, I have to admit, my home decor hasn’t changed much–or maybe at all–since we first moved into our home.  When we first moved in, my kids were really young.  My goal was to get beds and cribs assembled, get the kitchen somewhat organized, hang a few mirrors or generic decor and save the rest for later.  Well, it’s later.  Much later.  And nothing has changed.  The same mirror hangs on the living room wall, the very long upstairs hallway is completely blank and my problem areas then are still my problem areas now.

swatchboxowllampWhile I see lots of ideas I love while searching around on Pinterest, there is no way I can bring my three children into home stores, shop around for what I think I might like and then come back later with all of my returns.  So I found a better way to take those Pinterest pictures and turn them into something that works for me–The Swatch Box.  The Swatch Box is a new way to design and shop for home goods.  It’s kind of like a Stitch Fix for your home.  You fill out a style survey, are assigned a home stylist who consults with you on your likes/dislikes and needs, and are sent a curated box of home goods based on your preferences.  Shipping is free both ways, so returns (if needed) are a breeze. And, seriously, how perfect is this owl lamp?

collageMy designer, Lauren, sent me a personal e-mail with some pictures right away.  I was able to let her know what I liked and disliked about the pictures and I even sent her a few pictures I found online that had some elements I was looking for.  Since blank wall space is my biggest problem, I was looking to fill that up with some fun collections.  Lauren was able to find so many things that fit what I was looking for–from framed photographs to baskets and fun hedges to hang with indoor plants.  Check out my youtube video to see what she sent and how easy it was to use The Swatch Box.  I highly recommend it for anyone looking to update your home.

What did you love that The Swatch Box sent my way?

Gorgeous items. They are based in LA, so they have access to some amazing boutiques that most of us don’t.
