Every woman needs a good coffee scrub. Coffee scrubs are great for reducing the appearance of cellulite and firming skin with the help of essential oils. I ruptured my Plantaris Tendon at my daughter’s AllStar Tournament last month, and have been on crutches. Just last week I upgraded to a boot to immobilize my calf area. Lets just say my cellulite is starting to show again due to not being able to workout. The first couple of weeks I couldn’t even get off the couch it hurt so much. It’s times like this every woman needs a great body scrub. I hate buying products that I have no idea what the ingredients are in them. That’s why I take the time to make my DIY Citrus Coffee Scrub.
Did you know that caffeine has the ability to constrict small blood vessels and reduce inflammation? This is an asset in a number of facial creams. These same anti-inflammatory qualities serve caffeine well as an ingredient in cellulite creams, where caffeine’s ability to cause dehydration is put to good use drawing excess fluid from fat cells to improve the skin’s appearance.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup coffee grounds caffeinated
- 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla Flavoring
- 1 cup Coconut Oil (melted)
- 4 drops of Lemon Essential Oil
- 4 drops of Wild Orange Essential Oil
- 4 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
Step 1: Add all your dry ingredients into a sealable container. If you don’t have any a canning jar works great! I tend to use used hair product containers.
Step 2: Now add all coconut oil and mix until all your dry ingredients are mixed well. Last add your vanilla, Wild Orange, Lemon Grapefruit Essential Oils.
