celebrate dad this weekend with these great books

I love that quote. We absolutely adore the Dads in our lives and cannot wait to celebrate them this weekend on Father’s Day! We might even let them take an uninterrupted nap on Sunday 😉

But, before the naps happen, we want to share with you two adorable new books celebrating Dads from Sky Pony Press!

My Amazing Dad by Ezekiel Kwaymullina

The title kind of says it all, doesn’t it? We love our amazing dads and how they each have their own way of being amazing.

My Amazing Dad by Ezekiel Kwaymullin and illustrated by Tom Jellet does just that — it shows how dads are amazing in their own unique ways. He may not know how to fix that bathroom faucet but he sure does know how to make bathtub bubbles super fun!

This adorable book is a great reminder to kids (and parents) that parents don’t always do things the same as other parents; they may not always do things right; and they may not even know how to do certain things. Instead we each do things our own special way and will figure it out…eventually 😉

My Grandpa is a Dinosaur by Richard Fairgray & Terry Jones

We’ve probably all referred to our grandparents (or maybe even our parents) as dinosaurs. Just a funny exaggeration on their age. But Wanda truly believes her Grandpa is a dinosaur! And she just doesn’t get how the rest of her friends and family don’t see it!

My kids could not stop giggling at this book! My Grandpa is a Dinosaur is an adorable story with really fun illustrations that kids will love reading over and over again! And it’s a great book to snuggle up with and read to Grandpa this weekend! After all, even dinosaur grandpas like to have fun!
