bring nickelodeon with you as you travel this season :: new titles

disclaimer no giveaway
We don’t have to do a ton of traveling when we visit family. I’m very thankful for that. Our family is all within, for the most part, 30 minutes. Sure, we do have a handful of distant relatives, but for my husband’s parents and mine, they are close. So, that means, for the holidays, we are within 30-45 minutes (depending on weather) away. However. I know MANY of my friends travel much farther. If that’s you, I want to share something today that can help save your sanity, for not much money.

As you know, I’ve shared before that Nickelodeon releases DVD’s that have multiple episodes of our kids favorite shows. I have three more to share with you today! Three that are fun and well-rounded when it comes to variety.

And, what about stocking stuffers? Yes, it’s time to start thinking about that too!

So, let’s get to it!

blaze high speed adventuresBlaze and the Monster Machines: HighSpeed Adventures
Nickelodeon’s educational animated preschool show Blaze and the Monster Machines races back onto screens with Blaze and the Monster Machines: HighSpeed Adventures. In this four-episode thrill ride, amazing monster truck Blaze and his driver, AJ, use scientific principles to tackle problems and help their monster machine friends out of some sticky situations. Plus, preschoolers can help win a sailboat race using the right parts and wind power, and team up with Pickle for Team Truck Challenge Day! Blaze and the Monster Machines is the only preschool show on TV to comprehensively cover all areas of STEM in every episode and it’s currently the number-one preschool show in its time period.

Blaze and the Monster Machines: HighSpeed Adventures DVD includes:
  • Bouncy Tires – When Zeg the dinosaur truck accidentally puts on a set of “Super Bouncy Tires,” he bounces out of control! Now Blaze and AJ have to experiment to find a substance adhesive enough to stop their bouncing buddy.
  • Stuntmania – Darington has built the ultimate stunt track and every Monster Machine in town is coming to see the show. When a jealous Crusher tricks Darington and sends him far, far away, it’s up to Blaze and AJ to rescue him.
  • Epic Sail – Crusher and Pickle challenge Blaze and his friends to a sailboat race, but when he tries to cheat, Crusher accidentally crashes both ships onto a tropical island. Now Blaze and his crew must find the missing pieces of their ship so they can sail back home.
  • Team Truck Challenge – It’s the day of the Team Truck Challenge, a race where all the trucks get to compete in teams of two. When Crusher chooses a new partner instead of his sidekick Pickle, his pal teams up with Blaze to prove his mettle.

Next up is Max & Ruby!

Let's Learn KindnessLet’s Learn: Kindness
Nickelodeon’s DVD sets out to teach some of life’s biggest lessons including good manners and forgiveness. This delightful DVD features six super-polite episodes of Nickelodeon’s popular franchises Wallykazam!, Bubble Guppies, Dora the Explorer, Team Umizoomi, Blue’s Clues and Ni Hao, Kai-lan as the characters learn the values of friendship, manners, teamwork and more! With over 140 minutes of social-skills fun plus a bonus educational worksheet for on-the-go learning, Let’s Learn: Kindness is a must-have for every growing and loving child.

Let’s Learn: Kindness includes the following episodes:

  • Wallykazam! – “Totally Swamped” – Wally’s grumpy neighbor, Stan of the Swamp, won’t give back his new glider unless Wally can make him laugh– a real challenge since Wally has never even seen Stan smile! Can Wally use his magic stick to make “M” words that’ll get a chuckle out of the swamp monster?
  • Bubble Guppies – “The Glitter Games!” – Molly helps Demanda, an aspiring princess, with her manners. Together they’ll become true princesses in the hallowed Glitter Games!
  • Dora the Explorer– “Por Favor!” – Dora and Boots read a fairytale about a young kinkajou, a cute and cuddly forest creature, who is destined to be king. The kinkajou loses his crown because he doesn’t know the magic words “por favor.” Dora and Boots set off to teach the kinkajou the magic words. Along the way, they encounter knights, dragons and talking drawbridges.
  • Team Umizoomi– “Stolen Lunches!” – The team is visiting their friend’s school when The TroubleMakers steal all the kids’ lunches! Milli, Geo and Bot take off in hot pursuit to get the lunches back before The TroubleMakers reach their secret picnic spot.
  • Blue’s Clues– “Blue’s Sad Day” – Something is making Blue sad, so we play Blue’s Clues to figure out what it is. Along the way, we help our Felt Friends label their feelings and skidoo into Blue’s school to help her classmates figure out how to resolve difficult situations and emotions.
  • Ni Hao, Kai Lan– “Kai-Lan’s Carnival” – Kai-Lan and her friends wake up early today because there’s a carnival in the backyard with game booths, prizes and rides! Stompy the elephant is almost finished building a Rollercoaster Rocket Ride that everyone wants to ride. When Rintoo and Hoho throw some balls at another game booth, they accidentally break Stompy’s rocket. It’s up to Kai-Lan and the viewer to help Rintoo and Hoho realize that if they cause a problem for someone else, they need to say sorry and help to fix it.
