Baby dolls. I can’t remember what they were called now but they came with a birth certificate and a name tag and a hospital outfit. They weren’t Cabbage Patch Kids but I do remember they were a “hot toy” at the time.
My fave was definitely Strawberry Shortcake! I loved my smelly Shortcake dolls as a kid.

My favorite furry friend was Ralph from the Muppets. He had a slit in the back so you could use your hand to make him talk and the back was open so you could fill it with clothes. I took him to all my sleep overs. He was my “bag” so I could still sleep with him and not get picked on.

I’m trying to remember and the only one that really comes to my mind is my Strawberry shortcake doll. I loved her because when you squeezed her belly a puff of scented strawberry came from her mouth.

Wow… I honestly can’t think of what I loved when I was 8. Maybe it was Cabbage Kids Dolls??? I didn’t get into Barbies until later on. And, I was more of a book reader at that age.
I think that was about the age I really loved Breyer horses.
