#aSIMPLEChristmas :: send out holiday cheer with amazing holiday cards from mixbook

Merry Christmas from theSIMPLEmoms

mixbooklogoI’m not great with correspondence. I’ve been known to miss a birthday here or there or finally get birth announcements in the mail a few months after the baby was born. But Christmas cards are my thing. I love sending out cards each year. And, since it is something I do only once a year, I love to send personalized, high quality cards.

011I’ve always heard of Mixbook as the go-to place for custom photo books. But somehow I missed the memo that they make cards, too! And not just any cards. Gorgeous, professionally designed cards printed on their signature matte card stock.  The selection was amazing!  With over 800 holiday photo card options, it’s easy to find something you love, but a little harder to narrow down your favorites!  I had such a hard time choosing my favorite card that I decided to order smaller batches of four different cards.  And there are still so many designs I didn’t get a chance to order.  Maybe next year!

018I was so impressed with our cards this year. The card stock was thick but still smooth and the colors were vibrant.  I love extra touches when it comes to cards–rounded edge options, space to write names (or longer narratives), lots of ways to customize.  Cards with different shapes, various numbers of pictures and full color backs with more layout options.  With Mixbook, I can choose from a whole host of card options and customize it to fit my needs. I can change the layout and the background, add text and stickers, and make a card that is different from any other one out there!  Not only do I love the front of the cards, but the back of the cards is also full color and easy to customize with text and photos–I honestly like the back of the cards almost as much as the front!  And I loved altering the tag-shaped card to attach to a gift bag–what a fun way to deliver cookies to our neighbors!

Not only are there so many customization options, but they are super easy to implement.  A quick drag and drop or click of a mouse can add stickers, change layouts and create text. I was quickly able to upload photos, try a few different layouts and change the text on four different card designs in just minutes.  I was able to quickly filter the card choices based on my preferences, upload photos and edit the photos by zooming in or changing to black and white.  It was easy to change font, add lines and customize quickly.  I ended up with cards I love and I can’t wait to send them out!

Wow these are really nice. I’m using up the last of my card stash, but I may need more – I’d love to try this!!!!
