Today, we received a phone call from Mike’s mom. It wasn’t a good call, but it wasn’t a terrible call. She let us know that she is having her first chemotherapy treatment on Monday. Her first, of this bout of cancer. She has already done the whole chemo thing before. Ugh! She has been dealing with cancer on and off for the last few years. It really sucks. Like, bad. I seriously hate cancer and what it takes from people.

However, there is always good in a situation, if you choose to look for it. That being said, she is one of those people. She looks for the good in the situations, even when there are not many good scenarios to play out. I couple weeks ago I received a gorgeous necklace from Silpada from my friend Keri. You may remember the post that I shared with you all about some great gift ideas? Well, that necklace I thought would be perfect for my mother in law. Mike is planning an unexpected trip to visit her, and I’m sticking this necklace in his bag to give to her.
