My daughter and I have been having tea parties since she was about two years old (and I have the pictures to prove it!). My favorite tea party memories involve her loading me up with her favorite jewelry and a sparkly tiara to complete my princess look. As is our custom, we set up our tea party with very particular attention to the details while making sure all of the tea cups were full of “blueberry tea” (aka water). My favorite part was seeing her eyes light up as we got to share in the fun together (which made me yearn for my “stay-at-home-mom” days all over again). Her imagination shone through as we turned water into delicious offering for all of her guests and colored blocks into food they could all enjoy with their tea.
