‘x’ out the odor with odorxit :: review + giveaway

Posted on September 22, 2014September 21, 2014 by Shanda

disclaimer giveaway
Do you have dogs? Children? Basement? Chances are you have some “stink-ies” in your home… I can raise my hand to all three of these (and these are just COMMON odor issues found in homes!). If you are anything like me, you enjoy having a home that smells clean and inviting. Thanks to OdorXit, I do!

OdorXit2 logoA couple months ago, we noticed that water was leaking into our basement during a heavy rain (ugh!!). Even after ripping out all of the carpeting in our basement, it still had a musty/mildewy smell. I spoke with a consultant at OdorXit and she suggested I try the Air Quality Manager. “AQM (Air Quality Manager) is easy to use, fast acting odor eliminator that removes odors produced by fungus, spores, tobacco and fire smoke odors, garbage odors, skunk spray as well as many other organic odors. AQM uses chlorine dioxide gas as an oxidizer to eliminate odors quickly and permanently.’ We had planned a fun weekend at my parents, so while we were gone we implemented the AQM and when we came home our basement smelled SO much better… it smelled a little like chlorine, but that was a HUGE improvement over the musty smell that had linger in there!! Maybe we’ll actually ENJOY being in our basement now!

Our basement is a pretty extreme illustration of a bad smell, but how about something more common? Babies have their own unique “stinks,” and when you cloth diaper like we do, the stink can be compounded… especially on diaper washing day! Because the OdorXit Concentrate is made from essential oils, it is safe to use on cloth diapers. Typically I soak my diapers overnight before washing them, so when I am filling the wash tub I add in a little concentrate and allow the essential oils to go to work! But what do I do about the urine smell in between washes? OdorXit Magic is great for spraying directly onto soiled diapers or spritz the inside of your wet bag to help eliminate the smell. The “magic” is in the fact that it absorbs those nasty gases we perceive as odors. I have always loved cloth diapering, but OdorXit makes it even more enjoyable!

There are so many uses for OdorXit! From your car, to your basement to your closet and clothes… OdorXit has it covered. Use the Odor Wizard to determine which OdorXit product are best for you. You can also enter the giveaway below to receive a free starter kit! 🙂

I’d like to use it in my bedroom. I don’t open the windows a lot because I don’t like having spiders in my room so it has a little bit of a musty smell in there. This would be good for my daughters house because she has 3 dogs,1 cat and a baby so she has all different kinds of smells. Lol! Thank you for the cool giveaway 🙂

I have 5 cats so that speaks for itself. Coincidentally just this morning we had rain and I walked past their big cat tree and noticed it was stinky. The extra humidity brought the smell to my attention. This is great because I won’t use strong chemicals around them and the vinegar mixture I use just doesn’t cut it.
