worlds smallest blind bag box :: travel tip :: giveaway

disclaimer giveaway
Last month I flew from California to Michigan to attend my baby brother’s wedding. The older kids were still in school so it was just me and my Charlie. He was quite the handsome ring bearer, but I am biased. We have a little tradition where I get the kids something new to open in-flight. Blind bag type toys are always a hit. This trip we had the World’s Smallest classic mini toys. It came in a cute box with a blind bag inside. I brought one box to open on our flight to Michigan and another box to open on our way back home.
opening worlds smallest toy
On our first flight we sat by a very sweet teenager who was flying alone for the first time. She came from a very large family and was absolutely awesome to sit with. She clearly enjoyed kids. The World’s Smallest blind bag box came out and all 3 of us were excited to see what toy was in the blind bag…

  • Rubiks Cube
  • Hot Wheels
  • after school surpriseEtch A Sketch
  • Doodletop
  • Polaroid Camera Keychain (doesn’t take real pics)
  • Magic 8 Ball
  • Duncan Yo Yo
  • Chatter Phone
  • Mystery Item

We all felt the bag and made our guesses as to what it held. Charlie was thrilled to find the cutest (and tiniest) Hot Wheels car. Meanwhile, back home I left two more boxes for my older kids to open when they got home from school. In my mind they would be sad I was flying without them, but in reality they were fine. Here they are with their toys, they both got Chatter Phones. Their smiles made me miss them, but I was happy they were pleased with their toys.

On our flight back, we had some delays waiting for a storm to pass over Chicago. That meant my Charlie couldn’t open his much anticipated World’s Smallest Toy yet. We have a rule that we don’t open it until we are in our seat on the plane. He was so excited he had the box in his chubby hand as we boarded our flight. Boarding was going slowly so the captain asked if we wanted to sit in the cockpit. I’m super excited because I want to! I’m all about using my 4 year old’s cuteness to check out the cockpit. In all our trips, I’ve never been offered to sit in the pilot’s seat! Uhhhhh, Charlie didn’t want to. While he did get a little bit shy and likely overwhelmed, I knew what was going on. He was intent on getting to his seat to open his blind bag toy. {shaking my head} Next time I will stipulate that we have to be airborne before the toy gets opened. That story should paint a pretty good picture of just how excited he was to open his World’s Smallest Toy.  Our second box held a different Hot Wheels car. Oh the joy on his face.

So if you find yourself traveling, you must consider bringing along The World’s Smallest toys for your young ones to open. These would make a really fun party favor, prize, reward, etc. Kids LOVE blind bags and the World’s Smallest Toy collection was a hit. Collect them all and if you find out what the mystery toy is, please tell us!
