If you’re planning a family trip to Orlando and want a break from cramped hotel rooms, The Grove Resort & Water Park might be exactly what you’re looking for. We stayed here in November, and let me tell you—this place isn’t just a resort, it’s a full-blown vacation within a vacation.
The Space You Didn’t Know You Needed
One of the biggest perks? The space. Our suite had multiple bedrooms, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a screened-in balcony that made morning coffee feel like a peaceful escape. If you’ve ever tried to get kids to sleep in a shared hotel room, you’ll understand how life-changing a separate bedroom can be.

Built-In Water Park = No-Brainer Fun
The highlight for the kids? The Surfari Water Park. Think: lazy river, dual water slides, splash zones, and even a FlowRider surf simulator. It was so convenient to walk downstairs and have hours of entertainment without having to pack a bag or load the car. We spent almost as much time at the water park as we did at the theme parks.

On-Site Dining (Plus a Kitchen for Picky Eaters)
There are several restaurants on the property, and we enjoyed the casual vibe at The Springs Bar & Grill. That said, having a full kitchen was a lifesaver with kids. We stocked up on snacks and quick meals, which saved money and kept the “I’m starving” meltdowns to a minimum.

Close to the Magic, But Quiet
The Grove is about 15–20 minutes from Universal and offers a shuttle to the parks. It was the perfect distance—close enough to be convenient, but far enough away to feel like a retreat after a long day of crowds and characters.

A Few Tips If You Go:
Bring your own beach towels (the resort charges for extras). Stock up on groceries—Publix and Target are nearby. Reserve a cabana if you want a shady home base at the water park. Plan at least one full resort day—you’ll want it!
Final Thoughts
Whether you’re traveling with toddlers, teens, or grandparents, The Grove Resort checks so many boxes: space, fun, convenience, and comfort. It’s family travel made easier—and honestly, more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back.
