welcoming a fall birthday baby + an easy diy sugar scrub for momma {#johnsonspartners #MoreForYou}

This post features JOHNSON’S® products I was given, and sharing some knowledge and stories I’ve learned along the way. All opinions are my own! #johnsonspartners #MoreForYou

Welcoming a baby to any family, at any time of year, is beyond amazing. Bring on all the babies!! But there is something about fall. Just the smell in the air and the activities in the fall create loads of memories.  Is it the pumpkin patches, the apple cider, the hay rides? Or is it all that combined which makes it fantastic? I’ll go with that! I wanted to throw a twist at ya for welcoming a fall baby. When welcoming a baby, do you do the typical gift? Let’s do the typical gift with a twist! A fall twist this year.

I was recently introduced to the JOHNSON’S® baby moisture wash with honey apple and the JOHNSON’S® baby lotion with honey appleUpon the first sniff, I was immediately brought to memory lane. My memories from childhood pumpkin patches and apple orchards to now and the memories we have created with my girls.

Welcoming a baby to the family is a big deal. HUGE! And oh. so. fun. We have another baby coming to our family any day now, the girls get another cousin! We don’t know what it is yet – a surprise all around!! Be it that it’s fall and all, I wanted to do a baby gift that would be great for Momma and baby. I mean, having a baby is tough work!

3 ingredient diy sugar scrubI want this momma to easily be able to do a little extra in the shower and/or bath and make herself feel special after all the tough work she has done and has yet to do. I am sharing a simple sugar scrub that is made with Johnson’s baby products, stuff that most parents have on hand. Sometimes it’s hard to justify spending the extra money on ourselves, isn’t it mommas?

Now, it’s totally easy since all the ingredients are probably easily accessible at home. Plus, the extra gift specifically for Mom (you know, outside of all. the. adorable. things we are getting this sweet babe!) will definitely be appreciated.

To get started, grab all the ingredients. Start with the yummy scented JOHNSON’S® baby moisture wash with honey apple and then the JOHNSON’S® Baby Oil too. Grab the sugar for the final ingredient. That’s it! No soap dye is necessary unless you prefer a color.

INGREDIENTS ::

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup JOHNSON’S® Baby Oil
  • 1/4 cup JOHNSON’S® baby moisture wash with honey apple

Mix it all together. I put it in these cute jars I found at Target. They seal tight and look super cute! Use about a tablespoon each time to feel soft and smooth for longer throughout your day. Enjoy!IMG_8713 I chose to take this different spin on highlighting these products this time around to show how versatile JOHNSON’S products are. I mean, have you been caught lathering on the baby lotion after putting it on your baby? I sure have! Why not create a little variety in YOUR OWN care routine. You deserve it, and so do I 🙂

For the JOHNSON’S® baby moisture wash with honey apple product though, how wonderful is it to have the smell of apples and fall days in mind. The memories will come flooding back, or you will just maybe catch yourself smiling. All from using a simple little solution in your morning routine. Plus, the apple and honey are known for skin-nourishing benefits and it’s fine for daily use too. Dermatologist-tested and hypoallergenic. Bonus!

Even more, use your child’s JOHNSON’S® baby lotion with honey apple to an extra memory lane and skin nourishment oomph! This particular one helps maintain your baby’s skin’s natural moisture for 24 hours. Imagine what it can do for you too!

    I didn’t even realize they had such wonderful scents available! I use their baby oil every time I get out of the shower. Like you said, the scent brings back such great memories. I would love to make this as some gifts but I have a couple of questions.
    ~ the recipe calls for oil, but I see you have their gel in the picture
    ~ also, do you have any idea how long they keep?

    Thanks!

      Yes, I did use the oil – strange that it showed up as oil. Eek! And as far as they would keep, I really don’t know. I used smaller containers so that it could be used up quickly. I haven’t used a whole one yet though. I’m sorry I don’t have specifics for you!! I hope you enjoy making this!!
