Believe it or not, under the snow I see out my window right now, there is actually grass that will grow in the next month. And just down the road from where I live there is the most beautiful beach on the face of this earth. And we spend the majority of the late spring and all summer there!
I’m very particular about having well made, quality bathing suits on my kids for the beach. We are playing at the beach a couple days per week all summer, and my kids are BUSY. They don’t like to stay in the shade under an umbrella, and they love the water! I have been trying to look for a full piece rashgaurd type suit for my oldest this summer, and I found Coolibar! You guys are going to love this site! They have great sun protection gear for the whole family.
I was hooked as soon as I saw they had full piece surf suits for kids. Why the full piece? One word – SAND. Seriously – the first thing my girls do when we get to the beach is roll *all over* in the sand. They scoot in it, crawl in it, and spend hours digging in it. When I take them to the beach in regular girl’s bathing suit’s sand is everywhere (if you know what I mean!). I started putting little rashgaurd type suits that came down their leg a little bit and noted how much easier it was to keep their little bottoms free from sand! It is amazing!
Coolibar’s surf suits are also SPF 50 material. Those little shoulders, necks, and thighs that are exposed to the sun so easily while they play at the beach are completely covered up without harsh chemical SPF lotions. When they are playing in the water you don’t have to think about the reflecting sun on their shoulders or neck! The suits are very lightweight so the kids won’t be hot, but very well made and seems like it will stand up to the hard play that my kids do at the beach.
