use your noodle with canoodle by serranoventions :: review

swordDo your kids love to build? Mine love anything that requires construction: MegaBloks, Legos, K’Nex….they just love putting things together and making something all their own. That’s why I jumped at the chance to check out the Canoodle Toy by Serranoventions, the all new toy that takes building to a whole new level. The Canoodle Toy is unlike any toy out there. It uses pool noodles (yes, pool noodles!!) and their unique connector pieces so that kids can build anything from hula hoops to palm trees to a basketball hoop. Each Canoodle set comes with connectors, caps to keep the pieces in place, and a kid-safe cutter to shorten the pieces into whatever size your kid needs to make his or her unique creation. Because there are so many different things that can be made, this toy is perfect for any age and makes for hours and hours of innovative play. The simple concept behind the toy itself helps foster kids’ creativity in that your child can come up with their own ideas of what to make and is given the tools to build them.

The very first thing my daughter made when we opened the kit was a hula hoop. She had not seen any of the product ideas or given any hint of what could be made. Her own creativity shone through and within minutes, had put together her very own hula hoop. The look on her face was pure pride and excitement. My kids’ absolute favorite, though, is the swords. The plastic handle connects to a shortened piece of a pool noodle and voila, instant fun! Unlike most play swords, the super soft foam of the pool noodles make them the safest and most fun play sword out there.

Product Group 1-2

This amazing toy is recommended for kids ages 5 and up, but my 4 year-old has had a blast playing with his sword and fighting any bad guy that comes his way. The best part is that since pool noodles cost about $2 a piece, you can build and build and build and then head back to the store for more noodles without breaking the bank. Summer is almost here and with all the outdoors has to offer, let your kids spend their outside time using their natural creativity to build whatever they can dream up! Make sure you head over to Canoodle’s website for a ton of family-friendly ideas that you can all build together. Available at Toys R Us, Sears and other great retailers, and online at Amazon.com, the Canoodle Toy set will quickly become a family favorite!

I think my grandsons would enjoy building with my son in law until they are old enough to do it by themselves! What a great, creative toy!

I wonder if you can make things that would still float in a swimming pool. That would be fun.

I have seen the kids here playing with these noodles and doing different things with them, some times the wrong thing like hitting each other with them. But some of the things shown here I wouldn’t have thought about. Great ideas!
