twice :: buy & sell name brand clothing :: review and $50 giveaway

disclaimer giveaway

Let me start by getting your attention. How would you like to get $425 worth of name brand clothes (ie. Gap, Banana Republic, Express, J. Crew) for $115 or less? I’ve been a happy customer at liketwice.com since October 2012. I have used the 15% off Facebook credit, referred friends, and sold some of my own clothes. It’s taken very little of my time and energy for an unbelievable pay off. How unbelievable? I have spent less then $20 out of my pocket. You might not have the time to sell, refer, etc., but you can still get a fantastic deal on name brand clothes. I know you aren’t dying to see what I have in my closet, but I’m going to show you anyways. You have got to see the cuteness and top quality pieces that I’ve picked up at Twice.

What if you order something and it doesn’t fit? Have no fears, they will send you a FREE shipping label to return the item(s). No risk. I’ve used this feature many times. They offer FREE returns and 30-day full refunds! You might as well start with $49 in your cart to get FREE shipping when you order too. Do you feel concerned that it will look like you are wearing used clothing? I have not had one piece of clothing arrive that looks worn. I’ve even gotten a few pieces that were new with tags. They only take the best of the best.
my name brand clothes
I love name brand clothing, but our budget doesn’t support my love of nicer clothing. Remember the days before kids when you went to the mall to shop just for fun? I have always loved a deal, but I would spend $100 in an afternoon on some new clothes without thinking about it. I don’t want to be a sloppy mom in jeans and a t-shirt every day. I’ve got a growing wardrobe from Twice that makes me happy. If I get kid goo or something that might wreck my shirt, I’m not going to be as upset as I would if I spent a lot of money on it. (True story, I went to my son’s back to school night last night with poop on my shirt…nice!)

Whatever stage in life you find yourself, Twice has a great selection of pieces. The inventory is constantly changing, which makes it fun to pop on and shop often. It’s a good idea to follow their social media pages to keep up with the inventory and deals.

any basic top can be jazzed up with a brooch or a pretty scarf and worn with a nice pair of pants or a skirt, so dont skip over the basic shirts – they can be your best cost saving choice!

I’m probably not qualified to give out a fashion tip, but I’ll say “wear what you like.” There are many “fashion dos and don’ts,” and over the years, I’ve personally spent a lot of time checking my wardrobe choices against them. Ultimately, however, I learned that there’s no better judge than yourself. Even if others might not agree, if I like it, I’ll wear it and wear it proudly.

Dress your age. It’s okay to dress to look young but, to me, wearing crop tops and pants with words across the butt should end when college does, at the latest.

I just received my first top from Twice, and I loved it. My fashion tip is try to stick with classics, and then accessorize to fit the trends. This way you will have a wardrobe that will last for years with only a few inexpensive changes.

    September 8, 2013 at 10:16 am

Love Twice!! My best tip is to pay close attention to the measurements! The measurements that Express considers to be a size 8 may not be the same as the measurements that Ann Taylor Loft considers to be a size 8. It’s not as important when shopping in stores when you can try stuff on, but it definitely makes a difference (and saves the hassle of dealing with returns!) when shopping online.

    • Ginny
      September 9, 2013 at 2:18 pm

I agree! Even though you can return stuff for free, nobody wants to waste their time. I also kind of know what size I wear in certain brands. That can help too.

When buying pants from Twice, keep note of the measurements of the pants you have purchased that fit you the best. Ideally the most important measurements are the waist and inseam, but the leg opening, hip and rise are good to note down as well. This way when you are purchasing another pair, you can avoid pants that won’t fit! 🙂

    • Ginny
      September 9, 2013 at 2:21 pm

Great point. Pants are tough to buy no matter where you are getting them, but having an educated guess of a good fit will certainly help. No need to waste your time, even though you can return them for free.
