think inside the box with montubox :: review & giveaway

disclaimer giveaway

montubox We are a visual family. My kids love playing games on my iPad (mostly educational……ish), playing Wii Sports with their dad, and watching their favorite Disney movies over and over. To be honest, with three kids 6 and under, putting on a movie is sometimes the only way to settle things down for a bit. The beautiful summer weather has broken us of some of these habits but with the cold winter looming ahead, I am worried about the amount of screen time my kids will be exposed to. So when I heard about Montubox, I did a little dance of joy. What could be better than a box full of crafts and hands-on projects for your kids? Oh, wait. A box full of crafts and hands-on projects for your kids delivered to your door so all you have to do is open it up and let the fun begin. That, my friends, is Montubox (insert Hallelujah chorus here).

montubox We received a Montubox for my daughter and gave it to her for her 6th birthday this week. She is so excited about it that she has gone through each item over and over again. Each product is geared specifically to her age group and henceforth, her skill level. She honestly wanted to open up every single item on the spot. I had a vision of her sitting cross legged with 6 craft items around her in a circle, with her working on each one for 5 minutes and then moving on to the next. It probably would have happened if we hadn’t had birthday cupcakes on hand.

Our box contained the following items:

Melissa & Doug Canvas Creations (Fairy)
Melissa & Doug Color-N-Carry coloring set (72 coloring pages & 6 markers)
Cobble Hill Create your Own Puzzle set
a Fancy Nancy SparkleUp
Make your crown set with sparkly stickers
Melissa & Doug Princess Crayon Set
an educational book about cats

Truly, hours and hours of fun projects for you to do with your child or for her to work on herself (they also have boy-themed boxes for your little man). The Montubox comes in a variety of options tailored to fit your needs: one-time delivery as a gift or special surprise for your little one, a three-month subscription delivered once a month for three months, or an ongoing subscription that you can cancel anytime after two months. This is a great idea for any busy parent (and what parent isn’t really??) who is looking for some fun, easy projects for your kids all lumped into one super fun box. The only thing missing is the red shiny bow on top!
