While we are not a big camping family, we have always loved being outside!  I had the opportunity to review the 6 person instant tent from Coleman.  And holy moly, it sure is instant.  AND super easy to set up!!

I’ll be honest, I was a bit overwhelmed and intimidated when the tent arrived.  I have always heard horror stories about people putting tents up.  Then proceeded by them getting caught in them.  We’ve all seen the videos 🙂 I actually let the tent sit for a week before I was brave enough to get it out of the package.  I even waited until my husband had some time to be able to help me.

Well it was all completely UN-NECESSARY!  It was a piece of cake!  I’m totally serious!  Super quick and easy set up.  My husband watched and he was amazed as he has set up tents in the past before.  He noted that there was always a lot of parts and pieces in other tents – but this ten pretty much everything is already connected.  So nothing to lose!

    I’m not sure if the link was supposed to take me to the hinged door tent or not, but that’s pretty cool. We go camping alot during the summer and I have 2 young kids. They always have some sort of trouble with the zipping doors, and a hinged door would be sooo much easier on them! Also, I like that it opens like a regular door and you don’t have to fight with tying it up or holding it out the way when you need it to stay open.
    As for the tent that you have showing on your page…that is pretty cool! I love quick set ups! Sometimes when we go camping, if we leave late we end up getting to the camping spot in the middle of the night…and it would be much easier to set up a tent in the dark if it was quick to do!

    I really like that the tent is made of Heavy duty, 150D fabric, twice the thickness of standard tent fabric ~ I think that this will make the tent last much longer. I also like that the poles are preattached and the tent goes up in minute. Yay ~ no wasting time getting set up.

    I am definitely impressed with the Coleman Exclusive WeatherTec System. It has been tested at a Coleman rain room where tents are put in simulated weather conditions. The tents are subjected to rigorous high wind conditions at the testing laboratory – so you don’t have to test them while out camping.

    I haven’t been camping since it was just my husband and I, and we talk about taking our 3 kids but I’m not sure I dare 🙂 This tent looks awesome! I love that I could probably stand up inside and we wouldn’t all be sleeping on top of each other. Thanks!

    Like Coleman on facebook – of course! I love seeing people post their old camping supplies – brings back memories of my childhood spent camping in Ocean City, MD and the outer banks of NC. Isn’t it amazing I remember clearly the cooler and the water storage tanks from coleman (we’re talking 40 years ago!)

    I really like ALL the features of the instant-6-person tent…but if I had to pick one it would be the heavy duty fabric (that means the tent will last a long time and is of the quality that Coleman’s is famous for). My next would be the height – stand up in a tent – YAY!

    I really like that the 71″ center height, room to stand and move. There’s nothing worse then being perpetually hunched in your tent.

    Pre-attached poles!

    We went camping a few weeks ago and I told my husband that as a part of pre-marital counseling every couple should have to put together a tent. They’ll know afterwards if it’s going to work out or not LOL!

    I love that the poles are pre-attached to the tent so you don’t have to worry about losing poles!

    What is there not to love about this tent?! Not having to fumble with poles needing to be hooked together and put thru the right end of the tent, etc..is mighty appealing! Can’t beat a quick set up and I also love the thicker material for the tent – no needing rain fly and great in all weather!!!

    I like that it doesn’t require a separate rain fly! With every other tent I’ve ever used you HAVE to put on the rain fly, just in case, and it always makes it SO hot inside!!

    I like that the fabric is twice as thick as a normal tent. Living in Northern Michigan our tents are usually exposed to all the elements at one point or another. This would be a great tent to have. My husband and I are expecting our first baby in November as just said we needed to get a bigger tent to accomadate a pack and play next summer. Thanks for the great giveaway!
