staying connected with @fitbit and @sprint :: review {#sprintmom #mc #sponsored}

“I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Sprint. I received product samples to facilitate my review.”

I received some pretty rockin’ products to test out for this post and I’m happy to report, they have been working perfectly and were pretty easy to learn.  So, without further ado, I’m going to dive right in to what I received!

For starters, I am talking technology here.  For most, that’s not an out of the box and in to working order ordeal.  For me, it took a bit of time to get familiar with my two new products, the Moto X and Fitbit Flex.  After taking the time up front, I was able to figure out how to use these items and from there, if I got lost, I was able to find answers online.

There is a very cool feature, the “Touchless Control” that my daughter thinks is beyond awesome.  I’ll be honest, I’m not that familiar with Android based devices, but this feature alone has me itching for more!  Basically, this feature works by talking to your phone. You ask it questions about the weather, it tells you.  That sort of deal. I love this because you are able to talk and drive, without thumbing your way around the phone. (Not that I recommend being on the phone at all when driving…but you know people do it!)  Taking pictures with this phone is a snap too!  With the flip of your wrist (basically), you are ready to rock the shot!  The last thing is the display.  I love that it shortcuts the shortcut!  You can see when you have a text and when you have an email, without even swiping to make it come alive.  My daughter has been running it in to me when an email comes through, as if I need to read it right away.  Also, she texts my husband from it when he is at work, and can easily see when he responds.  It’s kinda cute how she is learning about it and then sharing it all with me.

fitbit flexIf you are in the fitness world at all, you have heard of Fitbit.  It’s a pretty revolutionary product that tracks way more than you would ever imagine you could track in one, single device.  The Fitbit Flex that I received is even better than I thought!  I’ve been watching my calories burned in a day, my steps taken in a day, the amount of water I’ve drank in a day and more! One of the coolest features of the Fitbit Flex is the sleep tracking ability.  You ever wake up feeling like you were up all night?  Well, now you can know!  Lately I have loved waking up, tapping my Fitbit to “wake it up”, then waiting for it to sync so that I can see how many hours of sleep I got, how many times I was up and how many times I was restless.  Kinda obsessed!

Taking it to the gym has been fun too.  You just watch those steps increase drastically.  And the Fitbit motivates you too.  You get notifications when you are close to your goal, surpassed your goal, etc.  Notifications not only pop up on your phone, but you get them emailed to you and you can send them out to your social media following as well.  Great way to share what you have been doing with your workout buddies!  And a great way to motivate YOU to do more!

Syncing the Fitbit with my Moto X was easy.  Read the manual and follow along.  Boom, you are done! (You can also sync your Fitbit with other devices too.  For example, I have an iPhone that I have connected it to as well!)

You can get this Fitbit Flex at your local Sprint store.  One stop shopping – a phone and a Fitbit! 🙂  A benefit of getting your Fitbit at Sprint, you will get unlimited data.  Great with the on the go lifestyle we all have.  You can sync up as much as you want and not worry about going over on your data plan.

Now that I have been using the Flex, I think I want to take the plunge and upgrade to a Fitbit Force.  Another day, another topic… 🙂

If you are in the market for products similar to what I’ve shown here, I can’t recommend these enough.  Once you learn to use them, you will love them.  Talk to me – what questions do you have from here?

    I have a Fitbit (the kind that clips on) and LOVE it! It’s great for tracking your everyday activity, and their free online website is perfect for seeing the results organized in charts. Wonderful review; thanks for sharing! 🙂
