We all know that “wearable” blankets are the recommended, safe type of cover for your baby while sleeping.
But let’s be honest. I’ve now wrapped 2 babies in wearable blankets of all sorts, and I just found them a big pain.
Both of my girls hated feeling confined and having their feet enclosed in the short sleep sacks and wearable blankets I have tried. And it just never failed that I would finish feeding, they would fall asleep, and then they end up needing a diaper change! The wearable blankets I had were designed such that I had to jostle baby around so much to change their diaper that they would end up waking up!
I’m pretty pumped about this “smarter” design of wearable blanket by Gunamuna! These Gunapods are much longer and roomier so baby doesn’t feel confined. There are also side zipper options so that not only you can change baby’s diaper without fussing around with them so much, but you could leave them open so baby can kick their feet out if they need! My girls would have LOVED that!
I’m also thinking that having the zipper options will mean you can open the blanket up while nursing so baby isn’t so snuggly warm, and can focus on staying awake to nurse or feed more alert 😉
