After 3 babies I feel like I am finally understanding this whole concept. It is just common sense to me now.
Letting baby ease into their new environment by staying close to Mama is so important. I was so excited when I saw Milk and Baby’s kangaroo care tops a few months before I had my third. What a great idea!
Baby cuddles comfortable inside the pocket of the shirt, while skin to skin with mama, leaving mama’s hands free to either help baby nurse, pat her back, or just simply rest in a chair or elevated bed or recliner.
I was really surprised at how securely the top held my sweet Caitlyn. I brought it with me for after delivery and she snuggled right in while I reclined in bed and rested. I was even able to walk around the room with her in it without feeling like she was going to fall out. The top is extremely comfortable and I have been finding myself making it my nighttime attire of choice since it is so easy to nurse in. If we are having a fussier night, she can just snuggle right in and I can still rest my arms and eyes while reclined and nursing!

We did kangaroo care in the hospital, of course (he was 10 weeks early and spent his first 5 weeks in the NICU) but this would have been so nice to have for him at home. He wanted to be held all the time but did not like any of the baby carriers I tried. I will definitely recommend this to other moms, especially preemie moms.
