reusable food pouches made simple :: Sage Squeezie by Sage Spoonfuls + giveaway

disclaimer giveaway

One of my favorite parts of the infant stage was the joy I received from making homemade baby food! It sounds a little odd to say, but it sure was FUN! My Husband even joined in on the fun! I would often find him concocting some sort of recipe, pureeing, and stashing the jars into the freezer for our little one to enjoy at a later date!Sagesqueezie

Sage Spoonfuls has been my go to product line for ALL of my baby food making! I was first introduced to this line of products when I had my second son, in 2012! From a food processor, to a steamer basket, to storage containers, even travel coolers; this company makes baby food making a breeze! It simplified the process and has transcended into toddlerhood with its new line of Sage Squeezies!

I couldn’t wait to take the next step into my baby food making passion with Sage Squeezies! The Sage Squeezie is a reusable food pouch. It has a unique, patent pending design, where the pouch stays up and open on its own for easy, no mess filling! It features a strong double zip closure that prevents little ones from bursting it open and making a mess! It is FDA and DPSIA approved, also BPA, Phthalate, Lead and PVC free. This pouch is also ecofriendly, as 1 Sage Squeezie replaces over 50 single use pouches.

The process is simple, make your favorite puree, smoothie, or even yogurt and place into the open side of the Sage Squeezie pouch! Seal closed and let your little one enjoy a healthy 7 oz. snack! The pouch has a leak proof cap which is wonderful to take for travel.

It was time for our little trio to test this product out! I decided to make a simple batch of strawberry apple saSagesqueezieuce! I peeled clean apples, cored, chopped, and placed them into the Sage Baby Eco Steamer until soft. I then pureed them using the Sage Spoonfuls food processor and combined strawberries that have already been cut with the stems removed! Once smooth I divided the contents into the Sage Squeezie pouches and the 8 oz. glass food storage jars! The food can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or the freezer for up to 3 months! {See the Sage Spoonfuls book for full recipe.}

Needless to say, these pouches were incredible for my youngest, who is quickly approaching 2. She loved them and they are pretty cute as well! We often purchase apple sauce by the pouch, which can be expensive! This is a great, healthy, and cost efficient alternative… and quite honestly a lot of FUN too!

Clean up is equally as simple! I just rinsed out the remaining food and placed the open end of pouch over the prong of the top rack of dishwasher. The pouch has rounded corners to prevent food particles from getting stuck. Who could ask for more!?!?

These pouches are definitely durable and I have visions of making many combinations of smoothies with all the beautiful spring fruit that is on its way!

    These reusable food pouches are a great idea. They not only help reduce our carbon footprint by replacing up to 50 packs of store bought, but simply getting to fill these with homemade ingredients that you have prepared yourself and know what has gone into it is very reassuring. Fresh ingredients is always better than any added preservatives or worse that could be inside. I am absolutely thrilled with this idea. The ideas are endless. Thanks for the opportunity. These are genius! I need these in a bad way. My 11 month old has decided he ONLY wants pouches and is refusing to eat anything else lately. To be able to reuse would save me a whole lot of money! Awesome!

    I would love these for my twin boys. The prepackaged squeeze snacks get expensive and it’s scary to see so many of them containing mold 🙁 These look like a safer, healthier and cheaper alternative!!!
