If ingested, these coin-sized lithium batteries can cause serious chemical burns in as little as two hours.  Yet in a survey conducted by Energizer, 62 percent of parents reported being unaware of the risk associated with coin lithium batteries.  That is a very scary statistic and exactly why I wanted to share with our readers.   • SECURE the battery compartments of device
  • SELECT battery packaging that meets federal guidelines for child resistance, such as Energizer’s coin lithium battery packaging
  • SHARE this information with your friends and family

We received a great package from Energizer and got to see how the packaging is difficult and impossible for little hands to open.  I have a 3 year old and I tested this out on her and she, thankfully, could NOT get it open.  She was able to get open a competitors package open slightly, if I were to leave her she for sure would have gotten it all the way open. Also, received this adorable Sleep Beauty night light for her room, which she loves. We need to keep our kids safe and I am glad that Energizer has stepped up to help do the same.     My favorite Energizer product is the Energizer Portable Smartphone Charger. I got one for my son to take on sports bus trips and we liked it so much that I got myself a 2-USB unit for my iPad.
