rise bar :: review + giveaway

rise bar :: review + giveaway

If you have been around SIMPLE very long you know how scrupulous I am about the food I feed my family.

I want to know *every* ingredient.

I want to be able to pronounce *every* ingredient.

I want to know the food I am feeding my family isn’t full of toxic GMO’s, hormone altering soy, and gut damaging processed gluten.

When I flipped over the package of Rise Bars that I received I was very pleasantly surprised!

  • No gluten
  • No soy
  • No GMO’s
  • No preservatives
  • No sulfured fruit
  • ALL organic!

I received samples of all the flavors in their protein bar, energy bar, and breakfast bar selection. To be honest, it was kind of a nice break from meal planning to just grab and go for an occasional snack or small meal. And with spring on the horizon (YES!), having something quick to bring to the park with the kids would be a nice idea!

I enjoyed the energy bars and breakfast bars probably the best. I actually kept a couple in the pocket of my rocking chair for night time nursings with Caitlyn! I need the extra boost to help with milk supply and these are quick, easy, and safe ingredients! My favorite flavors were the Raspberry Pomegranate energy bar and the Cranberry Apple Breakfast bar. Just a handful of real ingredients for a natural energy boost or filling snack.

rise bar :: review + giveaway
I have been around the block a few times with many protein bars. They are usually chalky, thick, and hard to get down. I have since learned about the dangers of soy protein and I even like to stay away from whey protein unless it is sourced properly, so it has been years since I have had a protein bar. I was so happy to see that 2 of the the Rise protein bars use pea protein as the protein source! Very clean and easy to digest. I haven’t seen very many protein bars with pea as the protein source. And these protein bars were actually very good. I didn’t feel like I was eating a brick of chalk at all.

From the real food mama standpoint I am very impressed. If you are an athlete and care about the ingredients you put into your body for optimal function and recovery, this brand is a great option for on the go replenishment.
