put martha stewart to shame with this super easy card kit from stampin’ up! :: review + giveaway

stamo A few weeks ago, Jaime shared how she used the Stampin’ Up! Everyday Occasions Kit to make some super cute cards. Since we like to change things up a bit from time to time, I did mine a bit differently to show how even the most un-creative person (ME!!) can make cards that will have friends and family asking where you got them. Now I am totally new to stamping, so I was very grateful that the kit included both a mini-tutorial on assembling the stamps themselves as well as some “tips and tricks” on how to make your cards look fabulous.

IMG_0545 As Jaime said (and showed), the kit has designs and colors that truly do go with any occasion. There are even a few ever-so-popular chevron pieces which I was really excited about. The amount of time it took to put each card together was way less than the amount of time it would take to go to the store, browse through the card aisle for 20 minutes (as fun as that can be sometimes)…..and cheaper too! I focused on making ‘thank you’ notes for my daughter’s birthday presents. It only took me a few minutes and I had a blast doing it. I am not normally a very crafty person and the ease of putting these together made me feel like I had been doing it for years!

This kit would make the perfect holiday gift for either the experienced crafter/scrapbooker in your life or for that finicky friend who is super hard to shop for. This unique stamping set is so fun and will have even the most inexperienced crafter jumping up and down at their newly discovered craftiness!
