#PrayforNee TODAY!

Dear friends. Today is the day that our dear Nee is heading in to have surgery! Do you remember the post from a last week? You can see it HERE. I am also posting most of it below.  But what I would really love, is for those of you that Tweet and Instagram, add a hashtag today and the coming days for her.  #PrayforNee will get people wondering and searching and the more eyes and prayers we have for her, the better her recovery will be!  Prayer is amazing and does miracles, so what are you waiting for! Any help you can giver her, to help with her miracle could be outstanding! 😉

Nee will undergo a very serious heart surgery on May 23, 2013.  If you recall, Nee, shared a little of her story here.  Go ahead read it and then come back.

Not only does the battery for her implantable cardioverter defibrillator need to be replaced (which is standard every 7 years), but the lead which attaches the machine to her heart also needs to be replaced.  The vessel that contains the current lead is the only suitable one to hold another, so the current one must be removed and the new one inserted; a scary move even for Nee’s “big” heart.

We know that God will take care of our Nee during even this most delicate of surgeries, and help her to heal after the operation, as only He can.  And although our prayers bring her peace, and she would never ask for anything except for our love and friendship, we want to ease the burdens that she, Mark and Lexi are carrying in every way possible.

We ask that all of you just take a moment on May 23rd and pray for Nee and her heart. The Surgeons. Her family and friends.  We would like all the prayers we can get so that is why we are sharing this with you!

There have also been some sites set up to help Nee and her family.  Please remember that the request for donations on these sites are just that – an option – the goal being to help with out-of-pocket medical expenses for the Spica family, which are approximated to be near $30,000.  Even if you are unable to give monetarily, please just pray!   For local people there is also a photography fundraiser you can find here and a meal planning you can find here.
