dust off your piano and play away with Piano Dust Buster2 :: app review

disclaimer no giveaway
Has your piano turned into a home for your family photo gallery? Or maybe it’s covered with stacks of books and magazines. Or a week’s worth of mail and your keys. You want to get the kids started on lessons or maybe play a little yourself but there’s just not time or money for either. The JoyTunes Piano DustBuster2 app is perfect for you! Learn a little about the keyboard and play some easy tunes. As you pass each level, the tunes get more difficult.

Just upload the app to your iPad or iPhone and get ready to play. You can either place the ipad on the piano and the app will pick up the sound through the microphone or you can use the included keyboard in touch mode on the ipad screen. You can choose to play in practice or concert mode. Practice mode has a metronome clicking in the background. Concert mode has “orchestra” accompaniment.

I love that they have classics like “Mary Had a Little Lamb” and “Ode to Joy” as well as several pop songs – both old and new – from artists like ABBA and Lady Gaga.

Here’s a little video of my daughter and her grand online piano debut:

And right now they have a little contest that you can enter to win an iPad mini! Here’s how to play along:

1. Start Playing! Download Piano Dust Buster and enter the “Concert” mode.

2. Once you have finished a song and earned a gold medal (and see yourself on the leaderboard) click on the share button.

*Sharing can be done either through Facebook or Email. Via Facebook make sure to include #Play4iPad in your post. Email submissions to: contest@joytunes.com

3. The more playing and gold medals you earn and share, the higher your chances are to win!

Time to dust off that piano and tickle those ivories before October 14th for a chance to win.
