outdoor fun with rollors :: review + giveaway

disclaimer giveaway
logoI don’t know about you, but I absolutely LOVE being outdoors. Throughout the winter months when I am snowed in here in Michigan, I sit and daydream about when I will be able to be outside again. Whether it is working in my garden, reading a good book or having fun playing games with my family, to me there is nothing better than a day spent outdoors.

Rollors 3 logoAt all of our family gatherings, you can usually find us outside barbecuing some hamburgers and sipping on sweet tea (I did live in the South for a few years!). While I love talking with my family and catching up on all the latest happenings, I typically do not like to sit still for long. We can talk and play a game… am I right?!?

I was really excited when I got the opportunity to review Rollors: a wonderful outdoor game that is fun for all ages! Not only is this game a lot of fun, but it also allows you to relax (unless you are like our family and are really competitive! haha).

What is Rollors you might ask? Just think of a cross between horseshoes and bocce ball. You can see the Official Rules HERE.

“Rollors ® is a fun outdoor yard game that’s entertaining for the entire family. Players “roll” disks at the goal and points are awarded to the player/team that positions their disks closest to the goal. It’s a great game of skill with the element of chance! Convenient carry bag allows you to bring Rollors ® with you wherever you go. Set-up in seconds on grass or in the sand. Now you’re ready to roll your way to fun! “

There are no restrictions based on ability. From the youngest to the oldest, Rollors is a great family game! When I first pulled Rollors out of the bag, I began to “play” a quick game on our living room floor. When my 1 year old son saw me roll the disk towards the goal, he immediately understood the concept of the game and began to roll (more like throw! haha) the disk towards the goal as well. I am not kidding when I say that he got closer than I did to the goal a couple of times! It is that easy!

Rollors 2 logo

If you are looking for a greater degree of difficulty, all you have to do is change up your terrain. You can add obstacles you must roll around or add other variations such as hills and turf (grass vs sand, etc). As I mentioned earlier, our family is a little competitive… you never know what you’ll find in your way! 🙂

All of the wooden pieces are of great quality! You will be amazed at the weight and texture of these wooden rollors and goals. What’s even better is the fact that Rollors is completely portable! Take everything with you when you go to the park, beach or even to your in-laws.

If you are looking for a family friendly outdoor activity for this summer, be sure to pick up a set of Rollors and get to playing!
