on the go with honey maid go bites :: review {#ThisisWholesome #CleverGirls}

We are on the go, go, go almost every week day of the week! From school functions to dance to appointments and practices. We live in our vehicle going from place to place a good portion of our evenings. It’s the life we live, and we are accustomed to it. However, when you are running, what is one of the first things you hear from the back seat?

“Mom, I’m hungry!!”

Yes, I hear that often When we purchased our Suburban, my husband and I always said NO FOOD in our cars. We held strong for a while, until we stated to get to the madness part of our life. The after school madness. We have altered our statement a little. Now it’s ONLY snacks that are easy to eat and NOT messy. That being said, I have to share with you one of the newest snacks in our pantry. The Honey Maid Go Bites. Yes, they are as delicious as the outside of the box looks!

They are bite sized pieces that have a yummy filling in them, either vanilla or chocolate. I’m a chocolate girl, through and through, but I like both of these!! Here, check out what three of my little ladies think of them:

I’d say they are a winner!!

So, let’s talk about what’s in these yummy Honey Mid Go Bites, outside of the vanilla and chocolate! The first thing I noticed, there is NO high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors or colors. I don’t know a ton about health, but I DO know that I do not feed my kids these two ingredients. So, huge bonus there!! Plus, they are baked with whole grains. Outside of these “new to us” snacks, I’m a big fan of the brand already. From these to crackers and Teddy Grahams, they are a winner in our house! There is real honey too, y’all!

It’s HARD to find good snacks, easy to find snacks, for your kids these days. It’s nice to have a “go-to” and this is a brand that I do that often with. I’m not just saying that, it’s totally true! On that note though, talking about how it’s hard to find good snacks, did you know that less than 1% of children get the recommended amount of whole grains in their diets? Ouch! 🙁

Honey Maid Go Bites provide kids with about 15% of both the recommended daily value of whole grains (48g) and protein (34g).

Honey Maid Go Bites Filled Snacks are crispy graham pockets filled with delicious ingredients, and made with 7g of whole grains and 5g of protein per serving.

    I haven’t heard of them either but would love to try them. Sweet snacks that count as protein is a plus since I’m not that big on having meat so I need the extra protein.

    I always have to find a way to make it bad for me..I would put mini marshmallows on top of the chocolate mini bite and micro for 5 seconds. Mini Smores! Warning…not to be eaten in the car!
