Monster Jam is coming to the SAP center in San Jose August 31-September 2. We enjoyed our very first event a few months ago and we can’t wait to go experience another show. Jack turns 11 and Annabelle turns 9 that week so it will be a bit of a birthday splurge to take the family. We are looking forward to it!

I was curious why this show is called the Triple Threat. Each event tests the versatility of the athletes as they go head-to-head in seven different competitions driving three different vehicles — Monster Jam trucks, Monster Jam Speedsters and Monster Jam ATVs. These athletes battle for points in challenging Racing and Freestyle events that push themselves and their machines to the limit. The point leader will receive an automatic bid to the prestigious Monster Jam World Finals® to compete for the title of World Champion.
Before the show (Saturday and Sunday) there is a Pit Party that provides unprecedented access to the Monster Jam trucks and drivers. Last time we went to see Monster Jam we did take advantage of this access to see the trucks up close, take pictures, meet the drivers and get their autographs. Click HERE for my tip about bringing your own book for the drivers to sign! There is about an hour between the pit party ending and the event starting so we killed the time with yummy stadium food.
BAG & STROLLER POLICY
I’m sharing the bag policy because I know as a mother it’s nice to know what to plan for. It’s never a good feeling when you have to ditch a bag or stroller that you planned to have with you.
SAP Center at San Jose conducts visual and bag security checks at every event. Higher levels of security checks including pat-downs, hand-wanding and the use of metal detectors are done at the discretion of management for other events. All large bags, large backpacks and suitcases will not be permitted in the building. Baby bags are permitted, but baby strollers and baby carriers are not permitted. SAP Center at San Jose offers the service of checking in baby strollers and carriers at all events.
