Babywearing has been such an integral part of my life for the past two years. My son just didn’t like to sleep as a newborn. My husband will attest to the fact that the first day of his life, our son was awake for almost 24 hours. This great big world was waiting for him to explore and he didn’t want to miss a minute of it! Unfortunately, newborns DO need sleep, so this mama spent countless hours coercing her little guy to sleep each day. I grew roots to my chair because every time he fell asleep and I tried to put him down, he would wake up! After many hours of trying to sleep train and both of us ending up in tears, I remembered a baby carrier I had in the closet and out of desperation, put it on. After minutes, he was sound asleep… I think we both gave an audible sigh of relief!

Now I am an active member of the babywearing community. I am an administrator for my local babywearing group and teach babywearing classes at my local hospital to new moms. It is my sincere desire to share the babywearing love and teach moms the joy, freedom and bond that is babywearing!

One of the main questions that I get asked frequently is “Where can I find an affordable carrier?” I will admit that baby carriers/wraps can be very expensive… but it doesn’t HAVE to be!

Manhattan Sundown

Ethos Babywearing is a great company to buy from if you are looking to get your first woven wrap! It is their mission to share the babywearing love and make purchasing a wrap affordable. For $100 and less, you can purchase a wrap that will help facilitate a special bond with you and your child and create memories to last a lifetime!

Manhattan Sundown is the wrap that I had the opportunity to try from Ethos Babywearing. The Manhattan skyline woven into the wrap gives masculine hard lines that contrast the subtle purple/blue skyline that meets a soft pink sky. These seemingly opposing patterns and colors make it a great gender-neutral wrap!

Because this is a “budget friendly” wrap, you can expect to find a few flaws in the weave. I did have a few skipped threads in my tester, but these are just little “imperfections” that add character and do not affect the safety of the wrap in any way.

Manhattan Sundown has a great stretch to it. It was very mouldable from the very first wash and requires a very short “break in” period. It does not have a ton of grip to it, which makes it great for new wrappers who need the passes to glide smoothly into place without having to battle a grippy wrap. With my 30+ pound toddler I found it very comfortable on the shoulders – which is getting harder to accomplish the bigger he gets!!

So if you are looking to purchase your first wrap or are looking to add to your “stash,” consider purchasing from Ethos Babywearing!!

My son had the same problem as a newborn…he just would not and I mean would not sleep. It was very frustrating to say the least. Because I have Lupus and my health was at risk I quit listening to the naysayers and let him sleep with me. We didn’t have the carriers/wraps that you have today, but I made due with what I had and it made a HUGE difference.

I don’t have kids, but I buy enough baby gifts to know how popular baby wearing is. This looks like a really impressive product!
